Lamento is an ode to the legacy of the percussionist Naná Vasconcelos (Recife, 1944 - 2016). A cry, and at the same time a celebration that exalts life and death as two parts of the same experience. This composition revolves around a homophonic melodic line (voice and saxophone) that is repeated three times, while agricultural and construction tools (hammers, saws, scythes, stills, knives, etc.) and other materials such as seeds and rattles make their way into an unexpected storm.
CLARAGUILAR's remix preserves the sonic elements of the original mix almost intact, while adding a teether kick drum, a powerful layer of bass, and a sequenced synthesisers. This creates a new perspective on the track, inducing the listener to a meditative yet intense trip.
